HAITI HOPE PROJECT

On Tuesday, January 12, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the Caribbean nation of Haiti. The epicenter was about 10 miles from the capital city of Port-au-Prince causing “a catastrophe of major proportions.”

In addition to the destruction caused by the earthquake itself, aftershocks alone devastated most of the countryside. Buildings and homes collapsed under more than 20 aftershocks with a magnitude of 4.0 and greater.

The Father’s House has friends in Haiti and just this past summer a team of our summit students spent time at Jacmel [Hands & Feet Project] Orphanage. We are so thankful to report that they are all safe.

Two ways you can help as we reach out their nation:
(1) P-R-A-Y for peace and restoration of the people in the aftermath of this deadly earthquake. Pray for the all the relief workers and organizations providing aid to these families and children.

(2) Consider making a donation [online] or at church during one of our Sunday services. The Father’s House is working to secure our next step and all donations will be applied to rebuilding of churches, orphanages and mission workers homes.
