Some of our favorite local missions projects to date:
Project Sweet Dreams - December 2005 – (Click here to see pictures.) The Father’s House embarked on an exciting mission. to benefit Cameron Community Ministries & Holley community center. 143 children were “adopted” & clothed in warm PJs with a new blanket and Bible for Christmas... 35,000 pounds of food... 3 days of loading and unloading food donations... 50 volunteers... This is what it took to reach out to those in need in our community. Thank you once again for all you did for God’s kingdom. It could not have been done without you! Special thanks to Tim & April Benson who lead this project.
“Sharing the Bounty” emergency pantry drive - proved to be a huge success. 1300 items donated (50 boxes full) - nonperishable/staple items, clothing, medial supplies, financial support was taken to Eastern Orleans Community Center, Holley NY.
Project Angel Tree (Delivering gifts of love & a message of hope to children of prisoners. People are were encouraged to bring specific toys – church volunteers then delivered these gifts to prisoner’s kids in their parents name & had an opportunity to share the Gospel.
Project Blankets: The stage was piled with hundreds of warm fluffy blankets ... we prayed over them as a point of contact trusting God to reach into the hearts and homes of the people who needed to experience His love. Walking the streets & being able to tangibly touch people, give them blankets, pray with them … a most amazing experience!!
Project Winter Coats: During the Holiday Season of 2004, we were led to pour our efforts into purchasing new winter coats, hats & gloves. the Fathers House partnered with the Eastern Orleans Community Action Center & was part of distributing these to families in Holley who couldn’t afford winter coats.
Feast of Life – we all brought fresh produce to church ... brought in an additional truck load of fruits and vegetables. Everyone got involved in packing up boxes of fresh produce and bibles for those in need in Rochester Inner City. Teams walked the streets of Ave A,B,C,D delivering boxes & blankets & offering prayer.
World Help Children’s Choir. The choir includes 30 orphaned and disadvantaged children from countries like India, Burma, Nepal, Brazil, Uganda and the Philippines. These children raise the level of awareness of the plight of homeless and orphaned children all over the world. Each concert includes powerful testimonies of their personal experiences, several songs in both English and native dialects, and a video presentation including footage of the children’s home countries. Our church families are always excited about opening their homes to these amazing children who come to not only sing & present a program but leave having made a difference in our world, too. Many of our church families are now active supporters of this ministry and are “sponsoring children” financially.
Good News Prison Ministry ongoing Support (we really value what they do here in Rochester!) Way to go Paul Burress who is an onsite chaplain and team! They minister the good news of Christ to inmates providing them with opportunities to hear, know and experience God.
Children’s Home - India ... Silinguri

After visiting the site in 2004, we committed to financing the construction of a new orphanage building. This includes a 1,500 square foot building with two large bedrooms, a dining hall, kitchen, office and space for the dorm parents. Included in the project is an entire water system, fans, chairs bunk beds and cabinets for the children. We are also sponsoring 12 orphans (living costs & education).
We fell in love with the children ... and they have crept way deep in our hearts. It was so much fun to arrived there with suitcases full of medical supplies, clothes and toys but what they deposited in our hearts outweighs anything we could ever do for them!
Pierre was able to preach in their local bible school with an interpreter ... we watched these gorgeous little children worship Jesus, their Creator. We went “shopping” with the local women in Silinguri. Continue to pray for them as they do an amazing work bringing in orphaned and abandoned children into their facility and teaching them about God.
